Six seniors live in what they affectionately call “The Cove,” waging a prank war on the neighbors and walking crookedly on their slanted floors.

“This is our social room,” one resident said about the front living room. They play an abundance of board games from their combined collections.“There are six flags because six Americans live here,” one housemate explained about the wall decorations in the back living room. One resident’s desk sits downstairs in the dining room because one of the bedrooms upstairs is too small to hold two.In addition to the refrigerator UD provides, the residents brought another full-size fridge and one mini-fridge, so there’s plenty of room for food storage. “We try to eat together,” one housemate said. “We had a potluck last weekend.”“We love making popcorn on the stove – real popcorn,” one resident said.219 has a bathroom on both floors, but the residents said they never use the shower downstairs because it’s too small. The housemates found a new use for this hanging shoe caddy: organizing toiletries in the upstairs bathroom. The smallest bedroom has the floors that are the most slanted. “If you put a marble on the dresser it will roll right off,” a resident said. One resident has gone to Malawi, Africa the past two summers. She displays souvenirs from the trips on her wall.“We got the biggest room because we do homework in our room more than anyone else,” the roommates of this double explained.219 has a porch on the front and back of the house, but the residents said the back porch is only used for storage.

I lived in this house in 1979 and 1980 and it was the best and my housemates are still some of my closest friends. We had our friend Bill (Old Man) living in the attic and always had the best parties. Our favorite was having dinners and inviting specials guests. One time it was Mime performing on campus!
