Club Roesch in color

Roesch Library has a new hang out: Instagram. “It makes sense to move to Instagram; our campus is so pretty,” said Katy Utter ’14, Roesch marketing and events intern.

To raise awareness of the library’s presence on this photo-sharing platform, Roesch hosted a photo contest in October. Students posted a library-related photo on Instagram with the hashtag #clubroesch to enter and the photo with the most “Likes” won. Each of the nine participants earned a UD Libraries USB flash drive and the winner, Mark Desantis ’15, received an iTunes gift card.

Desantis was studying for chemistry when he noticed the view outside of a nearby window on the fourth floor. The photo he posted to Instagram received 33 “Likes,” the most of any of the #clubroesch photos posted during the duration of the contest. “I was excited and proud of my photo,” said Desantis when he found out he had won.
