adaptive physical education students in wheelchairs by Larry Burgess

Uphill battle

2:09 PM  Jan 31st, 2013
by Larry Burgess

Fighting a sub-freezing following wind, these four health and sport science majors in an adaptive physical education class roll uphill beside the Frericks Center as part of their wheelchair experience. They all agreed it takes skill to propel oneself in a wheelchair and they’ve gained a deeper appreciation and sensitivity for the students they’ll be teaching. Pictured here are (from left) Katie Virgin, Abby Littsanic, Hanna Krizm, and Quinn Menard.
